All boxes are placed in random order each time a user loads any given category page or the homepage. You cannot select to advertise in a specific position on any page. By making the box load in random position within the page, every box gets a chance to be at the top spot at some point. We believe this is an efficient and fair way to distribute your box ads.
Boxes are £100 each for one year (excluding home pages boxes which are £800 p/a each). This is a one off payment, there are no contracts or subscriptions so the box does not automatically renew after 1 year. We may send you a reminder via email when your box has nearly expired but it is ultimately your own responsibility to renew your box(es) on time. If you do not renew your box will be taken off line and your details removed.
The term 'Hits' in relation to when we state the amount of hits this website receives per day, week, month or year etc is a request for one file from a web server. This makes it a very useful statistic for monitoring how many ads (boxes) our visitors load. For example, each image box is a file, and if a visitor loads a page with 16 boxes on it, that will be counted as at least 16 hits. For full statistics please visit: www.chesterinabox.com/stats
We reserve the right to refuse any box or business to advertise on our website for any reason, and at any time. For example if we deem your business or ad to be offensive or misleading in anyway, we may close your account immediately without notice or refund.
If you buy a box or boxes, you are buying advertising space only. You are responsible for supplying your own box / image to be displayed as your ad on this website. If however you don't have the ability or have a designer that can create an image for you, we will be happy to find you a designer to create one for you at an extra cost.
The administrators of this website reserve the right to change or amend any boxes or business information you have added to our site. This is usually to correct mistakes or old data to maintain quality of information and freshness on this website.
It is your responsibility to make sure than any text and imagery you use is original or that you have permission from the copyright holders to use any text or marks that you may wish to use within your box or business information.
All information you provide including business name, address and contact details will be displayed publically as an individual web page with your box image. The box displayed on the website will link to this page.
If you wish to buy more than 5 boxes for the same business you must contact us first before purchasing.
To maintain a high level of quality, and to ensure an enjoyable experience for our users you must provide clear, high quality images. If your ad does not meet our standards it will not be displayed on the website and you will be asked to provide a better quality image.
We maintain a no-refund policy. We will not issue refunds under any circumstances including (but not limited to) closure of your business. However, you may cancel your box(es) at any time contacting us via email at info@chesterinabox.com stating your full details and reason for cancellation. If you do this your box and details will be removed from public view but as stated above you will not receive any refund.
We cannot and do not guarantee an increase in visitors, sales, or enquires to your website or business as a result of advertising on this website.
Upon choosing to advertise with us, we automatically reserve the right to use your business details including but not limited to full names, email addresses, phone numbers and addresses for any purpose, including use by outside companies. At anytime you can request that we do not use your business details for purposes outside of chesterinabox.com by contacting us at info@chesterinabox.com with the subject title 'UNSUBSCRIBE' and stating your full name, your contact details and full address in the main body of the email. However, we will always contact all of our customers with important information or updates at chesterinabox.com, even if unsubscribed.
We reserve the right to redesign or restructure chesterinabox.com at anytime without notice. We also reserve the right to add or remove features of the website that we feel are in the best interests of the website and its users. We will not be held responsible for loss of business due to advertising on our website or changes made to our website.
As this websites main function is to serve ads to users for businesses in Chester, UK - Your business or service must be based or cover the Chester area. If you are unsure whether your business is elidgable, please contact us at info@chesterinabox.com.
